FAQ

Q: What are the PRES and RES controls? Can they be bypassed?

The Presence (PRES) control will control the overall sharpness of the signal. The Resonance(RES) control will control the overall depth of the signal. These were not featured in the original VH140 circuit but they are not bypass-able. The "original" VH tones can still be dialed in.

Q: Which cabinet can I use?
A: Any instrument speaker cabinet or group of cabinets with a minimum impedance of 4 ohm and a max impedance of 16 ohm.

Q: What is the wattage?
A: 300W @ 4ohm, 150W @8 ohm, 75W @ 16 ohm.

Q: Can it be rack mounted? Does it have rack ears?
A: The chassis is shorter and narrower than a 2U rack unit and is best mounted on a simple rack shelf.

Q: What voltage can I use it with?
A: 100VAC to 240VAC will power the unit. You will need to provide the correct IEC plug in cable for it though.

Q: What is the the purpose of the Line Out/Amp switch?
A: This switches the output of the preamp from the power amp to the Line Out jack while muting the power amp. Connect the line out to your DAW for silent recording.
